The Australian Medical Australia Northern Territory (AMA NT) Council acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of the unceded lands on which we live and work.

We acknowledge the Larrakia people of Garramilla (Darwin) and the Arrernte people of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) as the custodians of our major hubs.

The AMA NT Council pays respects to the Aboriginal elders who have cared for this country over tens of thousands of years. As health professionals, we acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonisation, and our duty to work alongside and listen to communities and elders to deconstruct these systems to close the gap in health outcomes across the Territory.
