Calls for EOIs from DIT to serve on Expert Advisory Council to Doctors' Health Services

Seeking expressions of interest from a Doctor in Training to serve on the Expert Advisory Council to Doctors' Health Services Pty Limited (DrHS).
Dear State & Territory AMA CDT Representatives and Trainee Representatives,
I am writing to invite nominations to the Expert Advisory Council to Doctors' Health Services Pty Limited (DrHS).
DrHS is a subsidiary company of the Australian Medical Association set up in 2015 to co-ordinate a national network of doctors’ health advisory and referral services. It is funded by the Medical Board of Australia.
The Board of DrHS is advised by an Expert Advisory Council (EAC) composed of representatives of the state doctors’ health advisory and referral services, doctors in training, medical students, and the AMA. The EAC provides a forum for sharing information; developing advice to the Board on matters including program design; policy development on broader doctors’ health issues; and developing resources on doctors’ health and well-being.
The AMA Council of Doctors in Training is seeking nominations for the doctor in training representative to the EAC. While there is no specific criteria for this position, the nominee is expected to have a strong interest in the health and welfare of doctors in training and medical students. The nominee is required to provide regular updates to the AMA Council of Doctors in Training on the activities of the council.
Appointment to the EAC would be for two years with eligibility for re-appointment at the end of this period.
The EAC meets at least four times per year by video-conference and holds at least one face-to-face meeting annually. DrHS will cover the travel and incidental costs for attendance at face-to-face meetings.
I would appreciate it if you could forward this message to your respective doctor in training members.
Doctors in training interested in nominating to the EAC are asked to provide a brief summary of their interest in doctors' health and a curriculum vitae to Sally Cross  scross@ama.com.au . Nominations close at 5.00pm AEST on Sunday, 8 April 2018.
Further information about the EAC and the role is available from Richard Boutchard at the AMA Federal Secretariat on (02) 6270 5423 or rboutchard@ama.com.au

Yours sincerely
Dr John Zorbas
Chair, Council of Doctors in Training
Australian Medical Association Limited
