AMA SA’s election scorecard on health policies
The Australian Medical Association in South Australia (AMA SA) has released its election scorecard on the major parties’ health promises, giving voters an overview of the major parties’ health commitments during the campaign.

Only two policy areas received a green tick: the Liberal Party’s commitment to abolish payroll tax on GPs, and its measures aimed at improving access to primary care.
AMA SA has also been working on a suite of reforms to improve access to care, which are summarised in SA Health’s ‘Agreed actions’ and follow discussion during and since the Access to Care Round Table in May 2025. These actions include reforms to outpatients systems and practices and expanding services for ageing South Australians.
