Nominations Open - AMA SA Council Positions

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN! This is a rare opportunity to drive AMA SA’s advocacy, lead growth in our organisation and support other doctors to successfully practise medicine.

In accordance with the Association’s Constitution, we are now calling for nominations for the upcoming vacant positions:

Council: two-year terms 2026-2028

  • Ordinary Member - 2 positions available
  • Ordinary Member (GP) - 1 position available
  • Public Hospital Doctor - 1 position available
  • Doctor in Training - 1 position available
  • Rural Doctor - 1 position available

Nominations for these positions open on Thursday 26 March 2026 at 12noon. The term of appointment commences at the close of the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 28 May 2026. The AMA SA Council meets approximately five times per year, usually on a Thursday evening and are offered in a hybrid format, accommodating both online and in-person participation.

The nomination form and relevant information is available to download below. Nominations close at 5pm, 1 May 2026.
