National audit of early pregnancy assessment services

Deloitte is undertaking a national audit of early pregnancy assessment services (EPAS) to help the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC or the Department) better understand EPAS clinics operating in Australia.

Deloitte is undertaking a national audit of EPAS to help DoHAC better understand EPAS clinics operating in Australia, and to inform the development of programs to improve outcomes and care for clients accessing EPAS and women who have experienced miscarriage.

As part of the audit, service providers of EPAS clinics or alternative settings (eg. a maternity, obstetrics or antenatal unit, a GP service that specialises in women’s health, or an emergency department) are invited to complete a survey about how EPAS is currently delivered. This survey has been informed by the expertise of EPAS advocacy groups and medical practitioners, and has been approved by DoHAC.

Only one representative is required from each service to complete this survey, but you may like to work with others in your service to complete this survey.

To support this, Deloitte Access Economics has provided a PDF version of the survey
