Panel member - Dr Deanne Crosbie
Director of Emergency Medicine, TUH

I am the current Director of the Townsville University Hospital Emergency Department, where I have worked as a FACEM for 16 years.

I am frontline focussed. I am interested in concepts of leadership that include a broader group – particularly the day to day leadership and how we grow other leaders. Often the focus can be ‘going up’ to other positions rather than who and what could contribute at different times. I really enjoy reading about and observing group psychology and interactions. I am the breadwinner in a reverse ‘traditional’ relationship where my husband stays home with our son, who’s ASD has taught me that we can all learn things not intuitive to us. I am currently studying a Master of Health and Medical Law.
