COMMUNITY HEALTH FORUMS NEED COMMUNITY INPUT

AMA Tasmania is strongly urging all Tasmanians to engage with the scheduled Hodgman Liberal Government Community health forums around the state.

This is Tasmanians opportunity to participate in a discussion about your health system. Improvements to our states health system will only be achieved through concrete and active community and industry engagement and action in outlining priorities, influencing decisions and implementing strategies to achieve better health.

The Tasmanian community, all health care workers and patients should be at the heart of this process, to control and guide the endeavours and the future of the Tasmanian health care. For these forums to be successful, they should draw on existing expert resources within our state.

The bottom line - if you care about your health - attend the forums.

Details for public forums: • Hobart: October 22 from 5pm to 7pm at Hotel Grand Chancellor • Launceston: October 23 from 6pm to 7.30pm at The Tramsheds Function Centre • Burnie: October 24 from 5pm to 6.30pm at Burnie Arts and Function Centre • Devonport: October 24 from 7.30pm to 9pm at Paranaple Convention Centre
