Show you’re a part of Tasmania’s peak medical association and proudly display the new AMA Tasmania Member 2024 logo. AMA Tasmania members will now be able to use a special Member 2025 logo on their business cards, letterhead, practice doors and other materials. Members are also able to use the post nominal AMA(M).

AMA post nominals - Members can use Post Nominals AMA(M) to recognise their AMA membership. As a current, financial member of the Australian Medical Association, you can use the post nominal letters AMA(M). You must agree to abide by the AMA Code of Ethics. The Code was updated in 2016 and can be viewed here. The right to use the post nominal letters has been included in the By Laws of Australian Medical Association Limited. The By Laws also provide for the award of a Fellowship of the AMA, where outstanding services have been provided to the Association.If you wish to use AMA(M), place the post nominals letters after your existing post nominals. Post nominals to indicate voluntary membership of an association are generally listed after commonwealth honours and awards, academic qualifications and fellowships. |
Refer a Member campaign
AMA Tasmania’s Refer a Member campaign offers an outstanding financial incentive for existing members to introduce new doctors to join AMA Tasmania. If you refer a colleague who successfully joins AMA Tasmania, you will receive 25% off your next year's membership. This 25% discount applies for each doctor you refer (maximum four referrals per year). Terms and conditions apply.

By participating in the campaign, participants agree to the following terms and conditions.
- The Refer a Member campaign is open to all existing members of AMA Tasmania.
- To be eligible for the discount, the referring member must be a full member for at least three months at the time of the referral.
- The newly referred member must provide AMA Tasmania with the name and membership details of the referring member at the time of joining.
- The referring member’s discount is valid for the first 12 months of the new member's membership.
- The discount cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of payment.
- The newly referred member must meet AMA Tasmania's membership eligibility criteria and complete the necessary registration process.
- The campaign is subject to change or cancellation at the discretion of AMA Tasmania, and any changes will be communicated to members through official AMA Tasmania channels.
- AMA Tasmania reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and to disqualify any participant who does not satisfy these terms and conditions.
- AMA Tas is not responsible for any technical or communication issues that may prevent participation in or the receipt of the discount.
- The decisions of AMA Tasmania regarding the eligibility of participants, the discount or any dispute arising from the campaign are final and binding.
- By participating in the campaign, participants grant AMA Tasmania the right to use their names and any submitted content for promotional purposes without any additional compensation.
- Both the referring member and the newly referred member acknowledge they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions before participating in the Refer a Member campaign.
