Want to enhance your expertise in managing compensable injuries and illnesses? ReturnToWorkSA is offering to sponsor an AMA SA member to take part in the Compensable Health and Medicine Course.

Healthcare practitioners have a critical role in the care of people involved in workers compensation and motor vehicle crash compensation systems. 

Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) and the Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF) have partnered to create a unique offering for healthcare professionals treating and managing people with compensable injuries and illnesses.

The Compensable Health and Medicine Course consists of 7 weeks of self-paced online learning and a two day intensive covering the following topics:

  1. Overview of healthcare and personal injury compensation systems
  2. Navigating compensation systems
  3. Clinical concepts and frameworks
  4. Common conditions: Musculoskeletal disorders and pain
  5. Science and treatment of common conditions
  6. Mental health
  7. Catastrophic and permanent injuries

ReturnToWorkSA is offering the opportunity for a medical practitioner to have full sponsorship for this program due to commence in March 2025.
