AMA calls for comment and feedback on gender equity in leadership

The AMA wants to understand what has worked within the AMA and what still needs to be done to increase the number of women in leadership positions and more broadly within the healthcare sector.

The AMA wants to understand what has worked within the AMA and what still needs to be done to increase the number of women in leadership positions and more broadly within the healthcare sector.

Through its partnership with Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership (AHWL), the AMA is seeking all members voices and opinions in defining its next organisational steps to achieve gender equity in leadership.

The AMA is asking all members to complete a survey. The responses will then be analysed alongside interviews with senior leaders across the AMA, and developed into opportunity and action areas.

Later this year, a selection of AMA members will be involved in a process to set priorities within the identified areas, and translate them into a suite of interventions, resources and tools to help advance and support women in their medical careers.

The survey closes on midnight Sunday 6 March 2022.
