
AMA Rural Medical Training Summit
The AMA is hosting a Rural Training Summit on 15 September in Canberra. The summit will be co-hosted by the AMA Council of Doctors in Training and AMA Council of Rural Doctors and will bring together key decision makers, stakeholders, academics, policymakers, and experts to discuss how to advance medical training in rural and regional areas. The summit will showcase and examine models to support rural and regional training and the health and wellbeing of doctors training in rural and regional areas. The expertise of attending participants will be harnessed to confirm priorities for advocacy and action on rural specialist medical training by the AMA and other health stakeholders.
