For the first time since the pandemic there will be a face-to-face event at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.  

Health Minister Mark Butler and Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston will detail their plans for health at the conference and eminent international doctors including Dr Anthony Fauci will be speaking. On Sunday delegates will vote for a new AMA president and vice president.

Closer to home public health physician and medical specialist in environmentally sustainable healthcare, Dr Kate Charlesworth, who is also a member of Doctors for the Environment, has confirmed she will be part of the discussion panel for the session on climate change called, Climate change is the greatest threat to Australians’ health, but what action can we take?  

Other areas to be covered include: General practice; private health; public hospitals; medical training; managed care; COVID 19; medical regulation; rural health; and gender equity. The conference is open to every doctor and is CPD accredited, can be paid by employer professional development or claimed as a tax deduction.
