AMA President to present a vision for health in Australia at National Press Club 9 June 2021
Dr Omar Khorshid, in his first address to the National Press Club, will release the report titled AMA’s Vision for Australia’s Health outlining a future plan for better national health care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, political decisions in Australia have been led by medical advice. This medical advice has seen our nation weather the worst of the global pandemic.
As Australia’s vaccination program continues and our economic recovers, the AMA prepared a blueprint to address the pressures on Australia’s public hospitals and private health insurance, and a plan to place General Practice at the centre of our health system.
