Nominations Open. President & Vice President Positions.
NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN! This is a rare opportunity to drive AMA SA’s advocacy, lead growth in our organisation and support other doctors to successfully practise medicine.
In accordance with the Association’s Constitution, we are now calling for nominations for the upcoming vacant positions:
President: one-year term 2025-2026
Vice President: one-year term 2025-2026
Council: two-year terms 2025-2027
- Public Hospital Doctor – three positions available
- Private Specialist Practice Doctor – one position available
- General Practice Doctor – one position available
- Pathologist – one position available
- Physician – one position available
- Psychiatrist – one position available
- Obstetrician / Gynaecologist – one position available
- Paediatrician – one position available
- Radiologist – one position available
Nominations for these positions opened on Friday 7 March 2025 at 12noon. The term of appointment commences at the close of the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 22 May 2025. The AMA SA Council meets approximately five times per year and the Board of Directors meet at least six times per year, usually on a Thursday evening and are offered in a hybrid format, accommodating both online and in-person participation.
