In summary
Thank you, AMA Queensland members, for implementing the 2024 Free Flu Vaccination Program.
The 2024 program has seen more than 750,000 doses of influenza vaccines reimbursed, with general practice receiving reimbursement for more than 208,000 doses under this initiative.
The program will conclude on Monday 30 September 2024. Immunisation providers will not be able to seek reimbursement for influenza vaccines administered after this date.
All claims for reimbursement must be submitted no later than Thursday 31 October 2024.
Given the upcoming state election, it is unknown whether there will be a free flu vaccination program in 2025.
