New Ahpra Portal

The new Ahpra Portal is expected to be fully operational by Monday 24 March.

The portal is accessed at the Login button at the top right hand corner of the Ahpra website

Ahpra says the portal will be the simplest, quickest way to get applications into the system and that the new portal:

  • ensures the information needed to more rapidly assess your application
  • ensures applications meets the most recent changes to registration standards
  • allows applicants to track the progress of their applications.

Did you apply using a PDF form that you sent to Ahpra by post or email?

If you started applying for registration using a PDF form, Ahpra is inviting you start the process again online in the Ahpra practitioner portal.

Applying online means:

  • your information will be directly entered into the new system, making your assessment process faster
  • you’ll have access to real-time progress updates via the portal
  • you’ll reduce the risk of Ahpra having to ask you for further information because some questions and processes from the form have been updated, including questions about the meeting the English language skills registration standard and the new online ID verification process.

There are published supports for applicants and practitioners on the Ahpra portal help centre on the Ahpra website. They will also continue to post responses to common questions.

Concerns about practitioners

  • In Queensland, this page will direct you to the Office of the Health Ombudsman (OHO). Depending on the nature of the concern, they may ask Ahpra to manage it, or they may decide to manage it themselves.
  • You can also contact the OHO on 133 OHO (133 646). Visit the OHO website.
