The Ethical Guidelines on Independent Medical Assessments 2010. Revised 2015 provide guidance on the nature and purpose of an independent medical assessment; obtaining consent from the examinee; use of audio or video recordings; managing incidental clinical findings; and relevant report preparation and court attendance.
