Join us for a supportive, practical Safe Spaces event exploring how doctors can stay well and seek care including being a doctor- patient and/or providing clinical care for colleagues.

 

Registration: 8:00 am for 8:30 am start
Main session: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (including morning tea break)

Lunch: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Creative wellbeing activity: from 2:00 pm

Location: Level 1, 39 Brisbane Ave, Barton

Guest Speaker: A/Prof Jill Benson AM
GP for over 40 years, with two decades focused on caring for doctors. Jill brings deep experience across doctors’ health, medical education, Aboriginal health and mental health.

A practical overview of doctor health and local services.

The Flourishing Doctor
Preventing burnout and staying well—strategies that support sustainable, meaningful practice.

Optimising the doctor–doctor consult (including being a “doctor patient”)
Practical tips to improve the experience and outcomes when doctors seek care.

 

Who should attend

Doctors at any career stage—students, Doctors in Training, IMGs, senior clinicians and those approaching retirement—who want practical, supportive approaches to wellbeing and help-seeking.
