About the Safe Space event series
Safe Space is an event series presented by Drs4Drs ACT and AMA ACT. Each event brings together a range of guest speakers from the medical profession to discuss topics themed on doctors' mental health and wellbeing.
Overview
Our tenth event in the series is open to all local doctors and medical students (open to members and non-members).
You're invited to start the day with an optional Parkrun/Parkwalk at Lake Burley Griffin.
The day includes a panel discussion about neurodiversity including lived experiences, strategies for individuals and for those providing support including supervisors and colleagues.
Facilitated by Medical Director Dr Marisa Magiros, panellists include:
- Dr Kerrie Aust, GP and ACT AMA President,
- Dr Gillian Riley, GP,
- Brigette Berry clinical psychologist
- More speakers TBC
A light lunch will be provided followed by pilates. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, and bring a towel or yoga mat.
