It might be time to look at your contacts, especially if you are using AMA Queensland contracts greater than two years old.

It might be time to look at your contacts, especially if you are using AMA Queensland contracts greater than two years old.
Based on feedback from private practices, here is what is changing within the contract templates.
- Simplification of the contract administration process by including a central place to make amendments for each new employee.
- The contracts are more user-friendly and consistent across the suite (where appropriate).
- Expansion of the contractual position of the practices, including:
(a) empowering the practice to check an employee’s entitlement to work in Australia
(b) imposing greater obligations on the employee when dealing with practice property or premises, including damage
(c) requiring employees to undergo reasonable testing and vaccination (and to provide proof of the same) in response to serious health events
(d) incorporating robust restrictions on an employee’s right to deal with intellectual property.
If you are a current Toolkit subscriber or have purchased the Contract pack in the last three months, no need to worry, we will be sending out the updated contracts to you shortly.
