Services Australia plans upgrade of digital health channels 

Services Australia has put out information to stakeholders informing them of their planned upgrade of digital health and aged care channels. 

With the aim of ensuring their systems are secure and up to date, Medicare Online, Australian Immunisation Register, DVA (via Medicare Online), ECLIPSE, PBS Online and aged care channels are being moved to web services.  

These channels will also be moved from Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security to our authentication system called Provider Digital Access (PRODA).  

For health professionals this will mean they will need to update existing software web services to compatible software. In some cases, this will also mean updates to the hardware to enable the update of software.
