Doctors for the Environment iDEA Conference

Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA) is a not-for-profit organisation of doctors who are working to improve public health by promoting greater care for the environment.

iDEA is DEA’s annual conference, which brings together hundreds of medical professionals and students across Australia who share an interest in planetary health, the impact of climate change on health, and sustainable healthcare. The theme of iDEA 2022 is Time to Act, from September 2 to 4, delegates will come together both in the heart of Melbourne and virtually to listen to, learn from and collaborate with a range of experts in climate change and health.

This conference will encourage discussions about the world’s biggest health issues and bring together the minds of hundreds of experts to discuss the influence on human health and how to address these issues. As we move through the critical decade for climate action, it is now more important than ever that DEA members, and the medical profession, are able to maximise their potential to lead and inspire change to secure a healthier and more sustainable future. Over the conference there will be an exceptional line up of speakers, including Prof Brett Sutton, Prof Judith Brett, Dr Forbes McGain, and Dr Eugenie Kayak.
