Nominations for election to the AMA Federal Council now open!

Nominations for election to the AMA Federal Council are now open. The Federal Council is the peak policy setting body. AMA Federal Councillors serve for two-year terms and may serve a maximum of three terms (or six years in total). 

AMA GP members may wish to nominate for the following categories: 

  • Practice Group of General Practice 

  • Practice Group of Rural Doctors 

  • Or Ordinary Members of any doctor in any speciality, craft group or career stage 

Members may nominate for election to more than one position, providing the member is affiliated to the Practice Group or Speciality for which they seek election. 

Nominations close at noon AEST on Friday 6 May. Current Federal Councillors seeking re-election should also nominate by 6 May. Further information and portal for nomination can be found here
