AMA looks to advancing women in leadership research to drive change

The Federal AMA is committed to achieving gender equity in its leadership and representative structures and has partnered with the Advancing Women in Leadership Project to implement evidence based actions to drive internal change.

The research shows that to close the gender gap and enable women to achieve their career goals, organisations need to adopt dedicated leadership and commit to ground up co-development with women and the broader workforce to meet their needs in implementing the interventions in the long-term.

We’re asking our members to tell us what next steps we should be taking to achieve gender equity in Federal AMA leadership and representative structures.

We hope this will help us to develop a ‘toolbox’ of effective interventions that can be implemented to advance women in leadership within the AMA.

We are seeking your contribution via a survey to understand what has worked within the AMA and what still needs to be done to increase the number of women in leadership positions at AMA and more broadly within the healthcare sector.

Access the survey here.

The survey closes on midnight Friday 25 March 2022.
