Potential Ambiguity with HPSS Award
It has been brought to the AMA’s attention that there may be a difference of interpretation of the Health Professionals and Support Services (HPSS) Award regarding the interaction between casual worker and shift worker entitlements. This could be impacting the calculation of practice payrolls.
To ensure staff are receiving their correct entitlements, practice principals and/or their practice managers may wish to review the provisions of the HPSS Award and check this against their payroll system.
