Uncertain times ahead for general practice
In his first Australian Medicine column for 2016, AMA Council of General Practice Chair, Dr Brian Morton, writes about the uncertainties for general practice in the coming year in the face of an ongoing rebate freeze and potential reforms arising from the Primary Health Care Advisory Group Review.
Dr Morton writes about the challenges ahead for general practice and the areas the Government will focus on if it decides to move ahead with a reform agenda. While remaining vigilant in responding to the Government’s agenda, the AMA has also outlined its own positive agenda for general practice.
