Timely reminder about email scams

Recently a number of AMA members and staff have received fraudulent emails purporting to be from a colleague in Spain who has lost their wallet. The email requests the recipient to assist by sending money. These types of emails can appear to be from someone you know, as the perpetrators have gained access to the person’s email contact list. If you encounter such an email please exercise extreme caution. Do not click on any links and delete the email.
