New videos to help fight meningococcal

With 109 cases of invasive meningococcal disease reported up to June 30 this year, the AMA advises its members about two new videos about effective defences against meningococcal. The videos were developed through a collaboration between the Department of Health and the Australian Academy of Science to communicate messages around early detection and vaccination, the two main defences against meningococcal disease. The videos provide targeted information to consumers and health professionals respectively.

The videos are a result of a roundtable discussion which included individuals with technical, clinical and patient perspectives on meningococcal disease. You can watch the consumer video here and the health professional video here.
