New national asthma management guidelines

The National Asthma Council Australia this week released the Australian Asthma Handbook 2014 for use by GPs and other primary health care professionals. The new guidelines were developed by a team of nearly 100 respiratory specialists and primary care health professionals, and incorporated feedback from more than 1000 GPs and nurses.

The Handbook is available to AMA members in the GP Desktop Practice Support Toolkit.
