More facts on PIP QI Incentive

In response to concerns that some general practices may miss out the PIP Quality Improvement Incentive, a process has been put in place that will give these practices time to develop an alternate solution for submitting their PIP Eligible Data Set. Practices with clinical software systems incompatible with, or who have chosen not to use the data extraction tools currently made available free of charge by their PHNs, may be eligible for a time-limited exemption.

A new fact Sheet is now available that outlines the PIP QI Incentive Exemption Process. Practices granted an exemption must commit to developing a solution within the Exemption Period and acknowledge they are fully responsible for the developing the solution, including any cost, time, resources or liability arising from it. Practices must also acknowledge the exemption is time limited and comply with all other eligibility requirements of the PIP and the PIP QI Incentive during the exemption period, including in relation to continuous quality improvement activities.

More detail is available on the PIP QI Incentive – Exemption Fact Sheet available here.
