MJA to mark centenary with day of celebrations

The Medical Journal of Australia will mark its 100th birthday with a Symposium, Reception and Celebratory dinner at the University of Sydney on 4 July.
 
Former editor of the British Medical Journal, Professor Richard Smith will chair the symposium, entitled ‘Future directions in medical publishing’. This will be followed by an exhibition of rare medical books and a reception at the Fisher Library. All attendees of the symposium will be invited to the reception.
 
The dinner in the University’s Great Hall will include guest speeches by Professor Frank Frizelle (New Zealand Medical Journal), Professor Christine Bennett AO (Research Australia) and Professor Max Bennett (The Brain & Mind Research Institute). Registrations are now open and early bird packages are available until 29 May.
