MJA: Bullying and harassment in the medical profession

The latest issue of Medical Journal of Australia focuses on bullying and harassment in the medical profession, and features a range of articles on this topic, including an editorial urging all medical practitioners to accept responsibility for the culture and reputation of the profession and work to create environments and relationships in which respect is the dominant quality.

Other topics in MJA this week include a For Debate article in search of professional consensus in defining and reducing low-value care, identifying and acting on potentially inappropriate care, negotiating the complex maze of claims of dietary cures for cancer, and ethical considerations in the management of Ebola virus disease.
