Last chance to have your say on pharmacists in general practice

Thank you to everyone who has so far participated in the AMA opinion survey of the potential integration of non-dispensing pharmacists into general practice. GPs yet to respond are encouraged to do so soon, as the survey closes COB Tuesday 15 April.

This is a proactive initiative by the AMA, working with the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) to look at how non-dispensing pharmacists could be included into the GP-led primary care team. The potential benefits from improving collaboration with pharmacists in the general practice setting include the improved use of medicines, reduced adverse drug events and better coordination of patient care.

Your feedback will help us to develop an appropriate model for collaborating with pharmacists that will benefit GPs and our patients.
