Free e-Learning course for GPs helping parents with a mental illness

For the information of GPs who treat parents with a mental illness and their children, the organisation Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) provides a free e‑learning course about the impact of parental mental illness on families and the benefits of a family-sensitive approach to working with parents experiencing mental illness.

The Keeping Families and Children in Mind course features six interactive learning modules, takes 6-10 hours to complete, and is professionally endorsed by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (30 PRPD points) and the Royal Australian College of General Practice (QI and CPD Program Category 1: 40 points).

Remember that AMA members can keep track of their CPD points through the AMA CPD Tracker.
