End of Financial Year Donations to the AMA Indigenous Medical Scholarship

As the end of the financial year is fast approaching, you may want to consider donating towards the AMA Indigenous Medical Scholarship and claim your tax deduction for the 2018/2019 financial year. Donations to the Scholarship can now be made online at the AMA Indigenous Medical Scholarship website.

The Scholarship has been offered since 1994 to eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students to support more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people become doctors. The value of the Scholarship is $10,000 per annum for the full duration of a medical degree.

The AMA awarded the 2019 Scholarship to Ms Nikki Kastellorizios at the AMA National Conference in May. Ms Kastellorizios is a second-year medical student in the Flinders University NT Medical Program.

Further information about the Scholarship is available on the AMA website. You can also contact Ms Sandra Riley on (02) 6270 5400 or via email at indigenousscholarship@ama.com.au if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss the Scholarship further.
