Doctors still in top three of most honest and trusted professions

Ray Morgan’s annual Image of Professions survey for 2014, released on Friday last week, showed that doctors are Australia’s second most respected profession for very high or high ‘ethics and honesty’. The poll found that, of Australians aged 14 and over, 86 per cent rate doctors highly for ethics and honesty. Nurses scored the highest rating, with 91 per cent, while pharmacists rated equally with doctors at 86 per cent. Once again, car salesmen rank at the bottom of the list (3 per cent), a position they have held for over 30 years.
