AMA intervention sees error in DVA Fee schedule fixed

In responding to a query raised by a member, quick action from the Federal AMA Secretariat has seen an error in the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Fee Schedule corrected earlier this week.

The schedule released earlier this month listed the Veterans’ Access Payment item (10990) as not claimable with item number 594, which is the item used for subsequent attendances at the same location following an urgent after-hours attendance. After the AMA contacted the DVA to query this anomaly, the fee schedule was updated to list 10990 as claimable for item 594.
