At the close of nominations on 1 September, five candidates have been confirmed to participate for the election for the position of Chair of Federal Council.

Timing of election

An election will be conducted on Monday 2 September. Federal Council members will receive an electronic ballot by email and text message on mobile to elect its Chair. The ballot will close on Sunday 8 September. The outcome of the election will be advised by 9 September 2024.
