Doctor in Training (DiT) wage theft in public hospitals.

The AMA has made submission to the Federal Government national inquiry into how to improve protections of employees’ wages and conditions and how to strengthen compliance and enforcement. 

The AMA submission aims to inform the inquiry about public hospital doctor enterprise agreement / award non-compliance, the challenges faced to enforce those entitlements and what needs to change.  The AMA submission also acts as a useful insight into areas where public hospital employment culture and competency may not be serving the best interest of doctors in training.
