Changes to enrolment into the FACEM Training Program 2017-2018

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is introducing a standards-based Selection into FACEM Training (SIFT) process in 2018 to actively select doctors into the FACEM Training Program for commencement in the program from the beginning of the 2019 training year. This once-per-year application process for selection is aligned to typical emergency medicine recruitment timelines in Australia and New Zealand, allowing for an optimally efficient selection process and enabling timely notification of outcomes to applicants and hospitals. To enable a transition from the current enrolment process to the SIFT process, ACEM will be ending the current enrolment process on the 30 September 2017.
