Responding to Bullying and Harassment

The AMA Council of Doctors in Training (AMACDT) and the Australian Medical Students’ Association, in collaboration with the AMACDT Wellbeing Special Interest Group, has developed a series of infographics defining bullying and harassment, its incidence and how to respond to it.

Responding to bullying & harassment

We are all acutely aware of the high rates of burnout and psychological distress in doctors. We know that a major contributor to poor wellbeing is the impact that bullying and harassment has on individuals. This continues to be highlighted in the results of the Medical Training Survey (MTS) run by the Medical Board of Australia and illustrates that doctors in training are still experiencing unacceptable levels of bullying and harassment, and fear reporting it.

These infographics are available below and we hope that you can promote these through your own channels.
