A new website and membership experience
We are modernising our website and membership system to make it simpler and faster for you to join, renew, and manage your AMA membership. Here is everything you need to know as we count down to launch.
What's changing
From 10 September 2026, you will interact with the federal AMA via two new platforms
- A new website — your main access point for AMA information, resources, and your member portal.
- A new membership system — powering all membership transactions, including renewals, updates, and payments.
What this means for you
- All membership transactions — joining, renewing, updating your details — will be processed through the new system from go-live.
- The new website becomes your main destination for accessing AMA services and information.
- You'll have a refreshed, easier-to-navigate member portal for managing your membership online.
What's staying the same
- All the services and support you rely on as a member including the Fees List, MJA access, workplace advice, CPD resources, and member benefits — continue as normal.
- Local advocacy, representation and industrial support through your state or territory AMA.

What you need to do
Right now: nothing. We'll keep you updated as we get closer to launch and let you know if there is anything specific we need from you.
Closer to go-live, we'll send you:
- a guide to accessing your new member portal
- clear instructions on anything you may need to do (such as resetting a password) to get started
- details of where to go if you need help.
Your first renewal under the new system
If your renewal falls due around launch, don't worry — we'll provide extra guidance and support to make sure your first renewal under the new system is smooth. Look out for dedicated communications ahead of your renewal date.

Frequently asked questions
Will my membership be affected by this change? No. Your membership and benefits remain the same. Only the systems behind the scenes are changing, to give you a better experience.
Do I need to do anything before go-live? Not at this stage. We will let you know if any action is needed as we get closer to 10 September.
What if I need to renew or update my details around the go-live date? We will provide clear guidance ahead of time if your renewal falls near the launch period, including any extra support you might need.
Where can I go if I have trouble accessing my account after launch? Our member helpdesk will be available from go-live day to support you with any questions or access issues.
Will I lose access to any information during the transition? No. Where any tools are moving progressively to the new platform, we will make sure you know where to find what you need, and legacy resources will remain accessible until fully transitioned.
