An important message for AMA Queensland members

If you are an AMA Queensland member you may not know that you no longer have conjoint membership of federal AMA. This is because AMA QLD decided late last year to leave the federation. The membership fees you paid no longer give you membership of both organisations.

Existing members who want to continue receiving federal AMA benefits will need to renew their membership with the federal AMA, which can be done through our members services team, who will provide you with a unique renewal link.

Contact memberservices@ama.com.au or call 1300 133 655 to renew your membership with the federal AMA.

Membership ensures your voice continues to be heard as we fight to shape the national health agenda. As a member of the federal AMA, you will remain part of a strong, influential community of doctors across the country, working to strengthen the profession and improve healthcare across Australia.

The federal AMA exists to advocate for you, protect your working conditions, champion your training needs, and ensure the system you inherit is fair, safe, and sustainable. From hospital rosters and safe working hours, to training pathways, workplace culture, pay equity, and the future of primary and acute care, the AMA stands with doctors in training at every stage. When your voice is heard, the entire system improves — for you, and for the patients you care for.

We are recognised as Australia’s most influential medico‑political organisation, with unmatched access to ministers, MPs, advisers and key decision‑makers in Canberra. When we speak, governments listen.
