AMA submission to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety on the impact of COVID-19 on aged care services

The AMA’s seventh submission to the Royal Commission calls for urgent, coordinated risk assessments for all residential aged care facilities. The AMA also calls for further investigation into how already known flaws in the aged care system have exacerbated the COVID-19 crisis in aged care, including lack of staff, lack of staff training, inappropriate clinical governance and the lack of medical professionals in aged care.
