AMA submission to the National Nursing Workforce Strategy

The AMA has made a submission to the very first draft National Nursing Workforce Strategy. The strategy aims to outline the key priority areas to enhance the nursing workforce. The AMA’s submission highlights the urgent need for proper all of workforce planning, and calls for careful consideration on scope of practice. We recommend specific attention is given to rural and remote workforce as well as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce.
