AMA submission to the Inquiry into the Treasury Laws Amendment (Genetic Testing Protections in Life Insurance and Other Measures) Bill 2025

Over the past few years, the AMA has undertaken extensive advocacy with a range of stakeholders, largely coordinated by the team from the Public Health Genomics Section of Monash University, to ensure legislation to ban genetic discrimination in the life insurance industry is established. The AMA welcomes the opportunity to provide a submission to the Inquiry into the Treasury Laws Amendment (Genetic Testing Protections in Life Insurance and Other Measures) Bill 2025 and looks forward to the passing of the Bill.
