AMA submission to the Health Insurance Amendment (Professional Services Review) Bill 2010 - Exposure Draft Submission
The Commonwealth Government plans to introduce this Bill to make amendments to the legislation that underpins the Professional Services Review (PSR) scheme.The Department of Health and Aging has recently met with the AMA to discuss and explain the current proposed amendments.The AMA has made a submission to the Department of Health and Ageing on the exposure draft of the Bill.

The AMA has made a submission to the Department of Health and Ageing on the exposure draft of the Bill.
In response to the submission and the AMA's concerns, the Department has now agreed to drop the provision that would allow the PSR Committee to compel the production of objects (Part 6).
The AMA has also prepared an explanation of the proposed changes for members only.
