AMA Submission on draft guide to the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards
On 24 March, the AMA made a submission to the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) consultation on its draft Guide to the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Standards.
The AMA's submission expressed concern that despite its input into two consultations on the development of the Standards, nothing in the Standards, the draft Guide, or supporting material on the ACSQHC makes it clear that the Standards are not an alternative to profession-led standards and are not applicable to general practice.
