An invitation to the Australasian Doctors’ Health Conference 2022

Dr Roger Sexton, Chair of the Australasian Doctors’ Health Network, invites you to join this year’s Australasian Doctors’ Health Conference.

An invitation from the Chair:

It is my pleasure to share with you the details of the Australasian Doctors’ Health Conference 2022 to be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, from 2nd - 3rd of December with pre-conference half-day workshops on 1st December.

This biennial conference has been held since 1999 and this year’s theme is The Thriving Doctor: Towards Harmony, Productivity and Longevity. The conference comes at a time when the interest in the health and wellbeing of doctors has never been higher or more important to patient welfare.

The link between the suboptimal health of doctors and patient care and complaints is well-known. The impact of workplaces and work practices on the health of doctors has been especially important and the conference will explore the many aspects of this, as well as solutions to doctors’ health and wellbeing at the individual, workplace, and systemic level. 

You will hear from more than 50 quality Australian and international keynote speakers and presenters. We already have delegates from every state and territory attending in-person, as well from New Zealand and UK. There will be a bookstore in the exhibition hall dedicated to doctor-authors, there are meet-the-speaker lounges and a glamorous dinner at the majestic Adelaide Town Hall.

I invite you to join us in-person or on-line, both registrations are available. I am also inviting colleagues to support medical students attending with the option to sponsor a student you know or one the Conference Committee can reach out to who is doing work in wellbeing at their university. We have over 20 exhibitors joining us already all supporting the health and wellbeing of doctors and medical students.
