Thank you for all those who made a donation to help India

We have raised more than $24,000 for India through our partnership with UNICEF

We thank all the AMA members who have already supported the appeal and the Indian Medical Association.

The AMA partnered with children’s charity, UNICEF in an appeal for desperately-needed health care during India’s COVID-19 crisis. AMA members responded by opening their wallets. We thank all the AMA members who have already supported the appeal and the Indian Medical Association, which has been at the forefront of managing India’s COVID-19 response.

Tony Stuart, UNICEF Australia CEO, said: “The dire situation in India and alarming increase in COVID-19 cases in South Asia is reverberating across the globe. We have seen an enormous outpouring of goodwill and the donation of critical funds, which are already helping UNICEF to respond with lifesaving oxygen, vaccine delivery and increased support for testing capacity.

"Sadly, we have also seen the impact this devastating pandemic has had - and continues to have - on frontline medical workers many of whom have paid the ultimate price to deliver care and comfort to others. I thank the AMA and its members for their support.” he said.
